Description

Villa Matilde Falerno Del Massico Bianco is the classic wine from antiquity. The ancient Romans’ ‘vinum album Phalanginum’.

Pale yellow with a deep fragrance reveals hints of ripe fruit: pineapple, banana, yellow peach, Williams pear, and delicate notes of sage and vanilla. The flavour, balanced, velvety, rich and persistent, has strong finesse and personality.

Soil: Volcanic with good supply of phosphorus and potassium

Vinification: The grapes are cryomacerated to obtain greater aromatic extraction and improved structure, followed by gentle pressing; the chilled must is gravity-settled, then fermented at 10-12°C for about 20 days. It is then allowed to mature in steel tanks for a further 3 months.

Altitude of Vineyards: 140m above sea level

Harvest: Second week of September

Ageing: 4 to 5 years

Serving temperature: Between 10 & 12 ° C.

Grape Variety: 100% Falanghina

Ideal With: First course fish dishes

Sarde “Arraganate” Sardines With Oregano

Alcohol Content: 13.5%
