Description

Feudi Di San Gregorio Ros’Aura Irpinia Rosato DOC is produced in the communes of Taurasi, Pietradefusi, Castelvetere and Paternopoli in Campania. 10 – 20-year-old vines are grown between at 1,000 – 1,650 feet above sea level. Grapes are grown with 5,000 vines per hectare in deep soil originally from ash and fallen pumice from Mount Vesuvius.

Grape Variety: 100% Aglianico

Vinification: Grape bunches are picked by hand and sorted in mid to late October. After de-stemming, free-run juice undergoes a 12-hour maceration on the skins in stainless steel tanks at 16/18 °C, followed by a further 4 months maturation in stainless steel tanks.

Colour: Pale Peach Skin

Taste: On the nose, it gives sensations of fresh red fruit, from strawberries to raspberries of the forest, ending in notes of cherry. In the mouth, it presents a freshness recalling red fruit just harvested

Alcohol: 12.5%

Serving Suggestions: A wine versatile enough to accompany salami, sausages, pizza and fresh cheeses.

Please note that the wine bottle is now available as a screw cap and not cork as shown.
